Embracing Fair Compensation

In Luke 10:7b, Jesus says, “the laborer deserves to be paid.” In a world filled with mixed messages about work and money, this saying by Jesus is a crystal clear guide. Jesus is saying that when a person invests time and effort in God’s work, they should be paid fairly for their contributions. Christians recognize the importance of valuing efforts and embrace fair pay.

First, I explore some of the prevailing attitudes in our world about money and work. Then, I examine Luke 10:1-16 in which Jesus said, “the laborer deserves to be paid.” I conclude with how the passage and Jesus’ fair compensation are applicable today.
